Advocacy

As part of this service, we provide an ‘Advocacy Request Form’. For us to provide independent advocacy for a young person, you will need to complete this form and return it to us. 

 

The request form provides us with more information about the young person and the reason an advocate has been requested. Once we have received this form, we will be in touch to arrange a ‘getting to know you’ session with the young person.

We will spend time with the young person, building a positive relationship and understanding their views, wishes and feelings.

Any advocacy that we provide will be led by the young person, including the level of engagement they want from us and the times and locations they would like to meet.

As part of this service, we can provide an ‘Advocates Overview’ following each session with the young person that will include what we spoke about, what we advised and what action we will take, without breaching the young person’s confidentiality.
